3 Weeks to go!

So December 16th officially marked three weeks until our departure on January 16th. This road trip started like all other trips and planned adventures; as an idea. I sometimes compare it to when two idiots are wasted and talking to each other and have this completely crazy idea and think that it is the best idea since sliced bread. Person A-"Dude, like this is gonna be SICK!" Person B-"No dude, like how did we not think about doing this before?" Person A-"I don't know dude, but like I'm so pumped"

But for Emma, Andy, and I, this conversation was a little different. First difference was that we were sober, mainly cause we were old bums who worked too much and always too tired to drink after work. When we first discussed the idea of a "road trip" it seemed like each one of us was serious with the idea but didn't know that each of the other two were just as serious. So I believe that this was in July at some point, and ever since then the three of us have been working even more diligently and becoming even more fiscal with our finances.

There are pros and cons to this method of plannings. The pro is that the three of us have worked two jobs each for 6 months in order to save up for the trip, so I personally don't feel like we haven't saved enough money for the trip. The con is that the three of us are just so busy all the time that it's rare to get together and discuss logistics.

Like Andy mentioned before, our first stops on this trip will either be Baltimore, Washington DC, and Philadelphia (not in that order). I have never been a fan of the New England winter so it's immediately down the coast to the "warmer" states.

We are incredibly excited to "finish" planning in these next three weeks a.k.a. "start" planning the LOGISTICS! If you are reading this is means you are either Emma or Andy, or one of our biggest fans! So we must thank you for taking an interest in our road trip three weeks before we go because it rivals our own interest! It's gonna come so quickly! Yay!

3 Weeks to go!

With only three weeks left before the trip "excitement" simply does not describe the feeling. Ready to hit the open road! Ready to put our little island in the rearview and venture out into the relatively unfamiliar! I believe Philadelphia and Baltimore are our first stops! I don't know that we will be spending too much time in the Northeast though! We gotta make it to that warmer weather ASAP! Father Wiggin is warning me already about freak blizzards in the Southwest. So winter might not be the MOST amenable time to see the States, but at least the campgrounds will be ours and most anywhere will be better than a New England winter! If you are reading this it means I have put the site up for all to enjoy! Although we probably won't be posting too much before we are underway I want to allow all of our loved ones enough time to catch on and get used to checking up frequently for stories and updates on our misadventures! The site may not be fully functional until it gets closer to departure, but I also need time to get my other authors and my main media man Timmy up to speed on how to use this bad boy!

Recently a friend posed a quote to me and asked me what I thought of it. That quote was (paraphrased): "Happiness isn't real unless shared." I tend to think that is bologna. But that is a discussion for another time. We three amigos will be sharing our experiences, so no problem there, but this blog will be a great way for us to share with everyone! Hypothetical math equation --> sharing + happiness = real happiness therefore ---> infinite sharing + happiness = crazy happiness. Moreso this will be something the three of us can look back on for nostalgia and will be a fantastic way for our loved ones to stay in touch with us!
