This morning officially marks the start of our first full day in Vegas! One of my missions while in the city was to see Celine Dion at Caesar’s Palace. It has always been on of shows I would love to go see. Unfortunately, she wasn’t performing during any of the days we were in town. Depressing, right?
No worries. I still wanted to see some sort of Vegas show and we decided to see a Cirque du Soleil. It was hard to choose on which one we were going to see. Cirque in Las Vegas is so popular that nearly every Hotel has their own take on a Cirque show. We thought that we shouldn’t stray from the original. So Cirque du Soleil was our top choice and we snagged some decently priced tickets at the Tix4Tonight booth along the strip!
During the day we made it a point to see a fountain show at the Bellagio. This is what we saw!
The show itself was a stationary thrill ride. Our seats were supposed to be way back but they hadn’t sold out so they had the more expensive seats they needed to fill in. That was definitely some Vegas luck we weren’t anticipating. Cirque if anyone doesn’t know is like a modern day circus, but on steroids and no smelly animals. The show was simple but not boring in the least. I suggest if there is a cirque playing in your area that you MUST go see it! It is worth every penny…especially if you go to one in Vegas.
The night continued with some more gambling. Let’s just say some lost more than others over the weekend.
Maybe tomorrow I could win it back?
