Even though we found it hard to leave our swank-ified place of a hotel, there was something we had to get to the bottom of…bottom of Florida that is.
Our next destination was the island of Cudjoe Key, Florida which is of course part of the Florida Keys. Emma’s neighbor’s brother has a place down there and told us that we could stay there for a couple of nights. Talk about stretching your resources thin.
Well the drive down was B-E-A-utiful. Crystal clear water topped off with a blazing bright sun made it the perfect scenery to head down that area. The best part of the drive was going over the famous 7 mile bridge connecting two of the keys. I never thought it would never end!
As we drove up to Carisle’s house, our temporary place of living for the next couple of nights, our jaws dropped and we were left completely in awe of this house. Sitting right on the water with it’s own dock is a pretty little yellow house. We walked into the front door and immediately had a huge view of the water. It took me a long time to realize that this was real life.
We spent the rest of the day getting settled in and trying to adapt to the house. Carisle wasn’t going to be there until the next day. We just cooked some dinner and hung out for the most part. Here is a picture of the sunset that turned into a nice starry evening.
