Our night in Miami Beach was very fun, it began with free happy hour from 7-8, so we obviously took advantage of that. With some recommendations from Zoe Sawka we hit up a few bars and walked around a bit to see the whole scene. After a great night sleep in very comfortable beds we headed to the Keys bright and early!
Our first stop was Cudjoe Key, where our family friend, Carlisle, has a house right on the river. Very very very relaxing, sunny, warm, and overall perfect! We spent the night just hanging out and the following day relaxing outside (I definitely made the most of the sun!) Carlisle arrived back from Palm Beach on Wednesday night and made us dinner.
Thursday we headed to the all anticipated Key West. We set up camp at Boyd's campground then headed into down for some exploring, drinks, dinner, and more drinks. Let's just say it was a lot different than when I went in middle school with the fam.....
Friday we packed up camp and headed to the Everglades National Park. We soon came to realize our campsite was about an hour from civilization/cell phone service. It was actually very nice to feel completely disconnected from home but immersed in a nice camping community.
Saturday I took the time to explore some other areas besides the campgound and went on a few trails and also did a trail with the boys. Weather was beautiful or as Andy said too hot and sunny (but I loved it). We decided to leave the camp a day early so we could get somewhere to see the game.....and that's where we are now. Tallahassee, FL, a pitstop on our way to Nashville
More to come!!!!
