Vegas, was... crazy. Lost a lil' bit o money... More than I intended, but man is it easy to do there!! A combination of interesting thoughts on the place. If you have the money, it has the best of everything to offer. Entertainment, restaurants, shopping, etc. However, for the less financially endowed, there were moments when it was unclear what could be done for fun. As I mentioned to Lindsay, beyond the spectacle of The Strip and the different hotels/casinos there were very few cheap thrills. No parks to go sit down in. No spectacular views to drink in (for free... the view from the Stratosphere casino/hotel was pretty darn cool, but cost us a bit). Overall, just an intriguing place! Got to visit with the one and only Debbie Keegan, Carroll Family friend and local Nevada resident. So much fun!

California, we have arrived!
Heading from Vegas to San Diego was a bit foreboding as we hit 50 mph winds and a crazy dust storm. We came out on the other side though to wonderfully warm beautiful weather! Several SD residents have now told us that we brought the nice weather with us because it is going to be in the 70s-80s for the next couple of days!!
Went to the San Diego zoo yesterday. Chilled with the monkeys, rode their sweet tram over the park more than a couple times. Generally had a great time!
Stayed with one of Timmy's friends from college and her 5 roommates at their house. Beautiful place in a great neighborhood. Great company! Emma's Aunt Ann gave us a tour today of San Diego and the three naval bases in the area! So AWESOME! No aircraft carrier, but some HUGE ships and two submarines!
Onwards to the LA area tomorrow afternoon. Gonna see Mr. Brian Depasquale of future film fame as well as Syd Fleischmann of the CCM family! Super pumped!
So far the Cali attitude is as stereotyped. Everything seems pretty laid back!
Last time I said we would post more pictures soon... I swear they are coming! We are busy travelers! Traveling is most definitely work in its own right!
