Rain rain and more rain

Leaving Yosemite, we headed back towards San Fran to get back on the 101 to go through Redwood National Park. It was quite rainy and I have to say I was underwhelmed by Redwood, but we may have missed the area that is so well known. We headed towards Portland but stayed the night South of Portland in Eugene, Oregon in a lovely 3star Hilton. We lived like kings (and a queen) for a night :) In the AM we were off to Portland. We made our way through Washington Park (so green) although the rose garden was not in season and it was raining. Then we headed into the city center for pizza and a block long bookstore called Powell's. I have to admit I could have spent all day there. We soon headed out of Portland and on towards Seattle.

Guess what....it was raining. And also raining the next day. Thursday we went into the city to Pike's Public Market, a combination of shops and farmers markets. We also hit up the flagship Starbucks and the space needle. All in all I liked Seattle, however, it does rain a lot there.....not a big fan of that.
