We headed up the the coast on the PCH towards San Fran. Beautiful drive, very windy, but incredible views of the west coast. We made a stop at Morro Bay, a little fishing village on the PCH as the drive was quite long from LA to San Fran, def reminded me of home as I walked on the pier and through the town. The following day we stopped in Monterey Bay for lunch, very nice, on our way to San Fran.
We didn't head into San Fran until Friday where we went to Golden Gate Park, drove over the Golden Gate bridge, and walked along Fisherman's Wharf. I was very happy to see a lefty store on the wharf (reppin!!) We headed back to the hotel as Timmy and I had to wake up early for our big adventure....
Hot air balloons over Napa Valley!!! YAAAA! We woke up around 4:30 for our 6am meet up at the Marriott in Napa Valley. I was very excited as I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but didn't really know what to expect. Each balloon could hold 16 people and there were 3 balloons within the day. It ended up being a beautiful morning, not too windy, and not too cold. After the ride, which was incredible!!!!, we headed back to the Marriott for brunch and mimosas! After a few errands we went back to the hotel to meet up with Andy before heading back into San Fran to see Coit Tower on the top of Telegraph Hill and drive around San Fran a bit. We made plans with Sarah to get breakfast on Sunday morning and headed back to the hotel.
Sunday we headed to a little breakfast place near Sarah's and got to catch up on her time since moving to the city, her new job, and tell her all about our trip. She got to show us the houses from Full House, which was very cool until we hopped back in the car to head to Yosemite.
Yosemite.....so awesome. We spent two nights, which were not too cold. Monday we took a hike up towards a waterfall, which I'll admit was challenging but so worth it. Incredible!!!! Definitely my favorite National Park so far!!! We headed out early on Tuesday to head through Redwood onto Oregon.
